NoMethod error for Socket.bind

When running the pure ruby version of EventMachine 0.12, it errors out with a NoMethod error when looking for Socket.bind.
Attached is a tarball with a small patch for EM so the pure ruby version compiles correctly (already submitted and accepted upstream). The tarball also includes an example echo server which exhibits the problem.
Problem was discovered on MacOS X 10.5.3 Intel using a rubinius with HEAD = 1267948f36def195619c1aba95dc156e1846f2e3 (generated June 20, 2008)
