Memoized gem issues

I've been working through the Ruby Way and trying out examples inside of Rubinius, and I realized that the Memoized gem (http://raa.ruby-lang.org/project... isn't working.

So to me, this seems like an issue regarding metaclass magic and rubinius, and not with Marshal loading and dumping the cache that memoize uses. If you've got any clue as to where I could go from here to fix this, it would be greatly appreciated.
I'm planning on converting Memoized's Test::Unit tests to RSpec as well, but I'd love to help fix this issue too.
